Accounting

Invoices, bills and real books, next to the clients they belong to.

ItzSEO's accounting module is proper double-entry bookkeeping: invoices, estimates, credit notes and recurring invoices with PDF email delivery, purchase bills and expenses, payments with allocation, India GST and US/Canada sales tax, multiple currencies, and reports derived straight from the journal. Store orders and client engagements post themselves. Included on every paid plan.

What you get

A full set of books, not a billing widget.

Chart of accounts and journal

Balanced journal lines behind every document. Opening balances and stock adjustments for businesses moving their books in.

Sales documents

Invoices, estimates that convert, credit notes, recurring invoices. Gap-free numbering per financial year. PDF and email delivery.

Purchases and expenses

Supplier bills and expense entries with their own ledger postings and party balances.

Payments

Record a payment and allocate it across documents. Partial payments, overdue detection and events for chasing.

Tax and currency

India GST (CGST/SGST/IGST), US and Canada sales tax, per-line rates, FX rates and documents in any currency with a base-currency ledger.

Reports

Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, party balances, receivables and payables aging, tax summary, day book, stock summary.

Connected

Money that posts itself.

Engagements → books

Client engagements and their payment schedules post revenue to the P&L and balance sheet instead of living in a side ledger.

Store → books

A paid storefront order posts as a cash sale with its tax and cost of goods, so online and manual sales share one ledger.

Overdue → workflows

Invoices past due flip to overdue daily and fire an event your automations can answer with an email, SMS or task.

How it works

From first invoice to month-end.

  1. STEP 1

    Set up

Base currency, financial year, tax region, numbering. Post opening balances if you are migrating.

  2. STEP 2

    Bill

Create an estimate, convert it to an invoice, email the PDF. Or let an engagement or store order do it.

  3. STEP 3

    Collect and spend

Record payments and allocate them; enter bills and expenses as they arrive.

  4. STEP 4

    Report

Open P&L, balance sheet, aging or the tax summary for any period. All from the journal.

FAQ

Accounting questions.

Does ItzSEO have accounting?
Yes. ItzSEO includes a double-entry accounting module: a chart of accounts, journal entries, invoices, estimates, credit notes, recurring invoices, purchase bills, expenses, payments with allocation, tax rules, multi-currency and financial reports. Store orders and client engagements post to the books automatically. It is included on every paid plan.
Is it real double-entry bookkeeping?
Yes. Every document posts balanced journal lines to ledger accounts, and every report — trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, party balances, aging, tax summary, day book, stock summary — is derived from the journal rather than from stored totals.
Does it handle Indian GST?
Yes. The tax engine splits intra-state sales into CGST and SGST and inter-state sales into IGST, with rates in basis points per line. US and Canadian workspaces use a single sales-tax account. Tax summaries are reported per period.
Can I email invoices?
Yes. Invoices render to a branded PDF, are stored, and the customer receives an email with a download link. Overdue invoices are flagged daily and fire an event that a workflow can act on — a reminder email or SMS, for example.
What about recurring invoices?
A recurring invoice is a template with a cadence. On each due date a real invoice is issued and posted to the books, and the schedule advances.
Can I migrate from another system?
Yes. Opening balances post as one balanced entry (assets and receivables, payables, owner's equity), and stock adjustments are supported. Document numbers are gap-free per financial year.
Who can see the books?
Only the workspace owner, or a collaborator the owner has explicitly given the Accounting scope. Every accounting page checks this itself.
What does it replace?
Vyapar for Indian small businesses, and the basic tiers of Zoho Books or QuickBooks for agencies that want invoicing and books beside their CRM and client work.
