Be cited where users
actually ask questions.

50% of informational Google queries now trigger an AI Overview. ChatGPT + Perplexity field hundreds of millions of research queries weekly. ItzSEO tracks your citation share across all five major AI engines — and tells you what to change to win more.

Unlocks on Growth ($99/mo).

Why this matters

Google rankings aren't the whole game anymore.

When ChatGPT or Perplexity answers a question, they cite a tiny set of sources. If your content isn't in that set, you're invisible to the fastest-growing search surface — even if you rank #1 in Google.

5 engines

Every major AI search surface.

AI Overviews

Google's SGE / AIO. 50% of informational queries.

Gemini

Google's standalone chat. Growing share.

Claude

Anthropic. Long-form reasoning, used for research.

How it works

5 steps from setup to insight.

1

Pick your tracked queries

Start with 50. We suggest seeds based on your GSC top queries. You add manually-curated ones — questions you know prospects ask sales.

2

We poll, weekly

Every Monday, we hit ChatGPT + Perplexity + Gemini + Claude + Google AIO with each tracked query. Record the cited sources.

3

Citation Share computes

Your share = (queries where you're cited) / (total tracked queries). Per engine and overall. Trend chart populates over weeks.

4

Claude analyzes the misses

For each query you're not cited on, Claude compares your existing content to the cited sources. Specific content recommendations land in your inbox.

5

Ship + measure

Implement the changes. Re-track next Monday. Watch Citation Share move. Iterate.

FAQ

AI Search Visibility questions.

How accurate is the polling?
We use the real APIs where available (Perplexity has a public API; ChatGPT via OpenAI's Browse). For Google AI Overviews, we scrape the SERP via DataForSEO. Polling cadence is weekly — daily polling would burn API costs without adding signal (AI engines don't change citations day-over-day).
Can I track localized queries?
Yes for Google AI Overviews (DataForSEO supports geo + language). ChatGPT + Perplexity don't expose location bias the same way — those polls are US-default.
What's llms.txt?
An emerging standard (RFC-track) for telling AI crawlers what to index + how. Similar concept to robots.txt but for LLM agents. ItzSEO generates yours from your sitemap + content priorities. Push to /llms.txt on your domain.
How many tracked queries can I have?
Growth: 50. Agency: 200. Scale: 500. Enterprise: custom. Each tracked query polls all 5 engines weekly, so this is also the API-cost limiting factor.
What if I'm losing citations to a competitor I don't know about?
Trend alerts surface that. When a new domain starts capturing citations for your tracked queries, you get an email with the domain + which queries they're winning.
Does Claude really know what to recommend?
The recommendation engine pulls your existing content + the cited sources, identifies the structural + factual differences, and outputs specific suggestions. It's not magic — sometimes the recommendation is ‘add an FAQ section with these 3 questions.’ Sometimes it's ‘your content is great, the issue is your domain isn't cited because it's newer.’ Honest output.
