New backlinks

When a domain you weren't linked from starts linking to you, it surfaces in the New tab. With the source URL + anchor text + DA. Email alert on first detection.

Lost backlinks

Same in reverse. A domain stops linking → flagged in Lost tab. Often a sign of content removal or domain churn. Outreach to recover gracefully.

Built backlinks (manual)

Add manually-tracked links from outreach campaigns. Status (Pending / Live / Removed). Domain + URL + anchor + DA + first-seen date. Useful for retainer reporting.

Honest disclaimer

If backlinks are 80% of your job, Ahrefs is still better. Their crawler runs deeper, their DR/UR scoring is the industry standard, their Site Explorer is more mature.

How is this different from Ahrefs?
Ahrefs is the gold standard for backlink analysis — deeper crawler, more mature DR/UR scoring, better Site Explorer. ItzSEO Backlinks is enough for monitoring + reporting on backlink health, but if your job is daily backlink prospecting + competitor analysis, Ahrefs is still worth the $199/mo. We bundle Backlinks because most SEO workflows need monitoring, not deep analysis.
What's the data source?
DataForSEO's backlink index. Same source as several major SEO platforms. Daily refresh. Covers most major referring domains; weaker than Ahrefs on long-tail/spammy domains (which most agencies don't want to monitor anyway).
Can I see anchor text + DA per backlink?
Yes. Each backlink row shows source domain + source URL + anchor text + DA + first-seen date. Click into a backlink for full context. Filterable + sortable.
What's the difference between ‘snapshot’ and ‘built’?
Snapshot = the daily-pulled backlink index from DataForSEO. Automatic. Built = backlinks you manually added from outreach campaigns, with status tracking. Manual but useful for client reports (“here are the 12 links we built this month”).
Do you alert on toxic backlinks?
Not in v1. Toxic-link detection is on the roadmap. For now, we surface backlinks neutrally and you can disavow via GSC's disavow tool if needed.
Can I export?
Yes. CSV export of total + new + lost + built tabs. Schedule weekly auto-delivery on Agency tier. White-label PDF reports include backlinks section by default.
