Pages & Indexing

Every page found. Every new one sent to the search engines.

ItzSEO keeps a list of every URL on your site from Search Console, your sitemap and an optional crawl, shows each one's index state, submits new and updated URLs to Google's Indexing API (10 a day on Starter up to 100 on Agency), notifies Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam through IndexNow once your key file is hosted, and checks any URL with Google's URL Inspection API.

What you get

Discovery, submission and status in one list.

Discovery

URLs from Search Console, your sitemap (including sitemap indexes, up to 5,000 per refresh) and an optional crawl of up to 100 pages that follows robots.txt.

Submit to Google

Select rows and submit. Each URL goes to Google's Indexing API, is recorded with its result, and counts against your daily share. Over-quota URLs queue for tomorrow.

IndexNow

One request notifies Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam. Your key and the URL to host it at are on the Pages screen, with a live check and a one-click install for ItzSEO-built sites.

URL Inspection

Inspect any URL on demand: indexed or not, last crawl, and Google's reason when it is not indexed. A weekly job re-inspects stale URLs.

Daily auto-submit

Per-project toggle. Queued, new, retryable and stale-unindexed URLs are submitted every morning within your share. Off by default.

Coverage bar

Indexed, not indexed and not yet inspected across the project, from the latest inspections, with filters for not-indexed and failed URLs.

Sitemap download

Export the discovered URLs — all, or only the indexed ones — as a sitemap.xml.

Client-ready

Each project uses its own Search Console connection, so agency submissions go to the right property. The quota is shared across a workspace's projects.

How it works

From new page to indexed.

  1. STEP 1

    Discover

Open the Pages screen or refresh it: new URLs from Search Console, the sitemap or a crawl appear as Discovered.

  2. STEP 2

    Submit

Submit by hand, or let the daily auto-submit do it. Google gets an Indexing API notification; Bing and Yandex get IndexNow where your key is hosted.

  3. STEP 3

    Inspect

Inspect a URL right away, or let the weekly job re-check stale ones. The state becomes Indexed, Crawled-not-indexed, Not indexed or Failed, with Google's reason.

  4. STEP 4

    Fix and resubmit

Filter to failed or not-indexed URLs; each shows Google's reason on hover. Fix the page and submit again.

FAQ

Pages & Indexing questions.

What does Pages & Indexing do?
It keeps a list of every URL on your site — pulled from Google Search Console, your sitemap and an optional crawl — and shows each one's index state. From that list you can submit URLs to Google's Indexing API, notify Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam through IndexNow, inspect a URL with Google's URL Inspection API, turn on a daily auto-submit, and download the list as a sitemap.
Does submitting get pages indexed faster?
Submitting asks Google to crawl the URL soon; whether it is indexed is still Google's decision based on the page. Google documents its Indexing API for job-posting and livestream pages. Many SEO tools use it for ordinary pages and see faster crawls, and ItzSEO does too — but it is not a guarantee, and Google can change how it treats those requests.
How many URLs can I submit to Google a day?
Per workspace: Free 5, Starter 10, Growth 25, Agency 100, Scale 100. Google allows 200 Indexing API notifications a day per cloud project, and ItzSEO submits for all customers through one, so these are shares of a shared daily pool. On busy days the pool can run out before your share does; the meter shows both, and URLs that do not fit are queued for the next day rather than failed.
How does IndexNow work here?
IndexNow notifies Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam with one request, without a daily quota — but only for domains that prove ownership by serving a key file. The Pages screen shows your workspace's key and the exact URL it must be served from, checks whether it is there, and installs it with one click on sites built and hosted in ItzSEO. Once the file is found, every Google submission also sends IndexNow for that host; until then IndexNow is skipped and the submit result says so.
What is URL Inspection?
Google's read-only API that reports whether a URL is indexed, when it was last crawled and why it is not indexed (for example crawled-not-indexed, blocked by robots.txt, or a noindex tag). Inspect any row on demand; a weekly job re-inspects stale URLs so the coverage bar stays current. It needs Search Console connected.
How are pages discovered?
From Search Console's page data, from your sitemap (standard locations or a sitemap URL you paste, up to 5,000 URLs per refresh, including sitemap indexes), and from an optional crawl of up to 100 pages, three links deep, that follows robots.txt. Discovery runs when you open the Pages screen or refresh it; it does not watch your site continuously.
What does auto-submit do?
When turned on for a project, a daily job submits queued URLs first, then never-submitted ones, then transient failures, then URLs submitted more than 30 days ago that are still not indexed — within your daily share and the shared pool, with paying plans served first when the pool is tight. It is off by default.
What do I need to set up?
Connect Search Console for the site in service-account mode and make ItzSEO's service account an Owner of the property — Google's Indexing API refuses submissions otherwise, and the error tells you exactly which setting to change. For IndexNow, host the key file (or click Install on an ItzSEO-built site).
Is the quota per project or per workspace?
Per workspace, so an agency with many client projects decides where to spend it. Each project uses its own Search Console connection.
