SMS marketing

Text your customers, without burning your list.

ItzSEO sends bulk and recurring SMS campaigns through your own Twilio account, with merge tags, a live segment counter, STOP/START opt-out handling, enforced quiet hours and a delivery record for every recipient. Included on every paid plan, with monthly contact limits from 500 on Starter to 25,000 on Scale.

What you get

Campaigns built for compliance first.

Compose with merge tags

First name, company or any contact field. A live GSM-7 / UCS-2 counter shows exactly how many segments you will be billed for before you send.

Lists and segments

Send to a shared contact list, a saved segment, or an exclusion of both. The same lists your email campaigns use.

Recurring campaigns

Weekly or monthly templates that spawn real campaigns on schedule, and can rotate through a large list so nobody is texted twice until everyone has been texted once.

Opt-out registry

STOP and START handled automatically, manual and carrier-block entries recorded, consent attested per campaign, opt-out footer added on first contact.

Quiet hours

Sends are held outside the window you set, in the campaign's timezone. No 3 am texts, no matter when the campaign was scheduled.

Delivery reports

Per-recipient status straight from Twilio, campaign reports and daily sending rollups.

How it works

Four steps to your first campaign.

  1. STEP 1

    Connect Twilio

Paste your Twilio credentials and choose a number or Messaging Service. Set your sending rate and quiet hours.

  2. STEP 2

    Pick the audience

A list, a segment, or a list minus an exclusion list. Opted-out numbers are removed automatically.

  3. STEP 3

    Write and preview

Merge tags, segment counter, dry-run preview and a test send to your own phone.

  4. STEP 4

    Send, schedule or repeat

Send now, schedule once, or make it recurring. Watch delivery status per recipient.

FAQ

SMS Marketing questions.

Does ItzSEO send SMS campaigns?
Yes. ItzSEO sends bulk and recurring SMS campaigns to your contact lists and segments through your own Twilio account, with opt-out handling, quiet hours and delivery reports. It is included on every paid plan with a monthly limit on SMS contacts: Starter 500, Growth 2,500, Agency 10,000, Scale 25,000.
Do I need my own Twilio account?
Yes. You connect a Twilio phone number or Messaging Service and Twilio bills you directly for each message. ItzSEO does not mark up the per-message price; plans are limited by the number of contacts you text in a month.
What is a recurring campaign?
A template that sends itself on a schedule — every Tuesday at 7 pm, for example — and can rotate through a large list so each contact is texted once before anyone is texted again. Contacts who have opted out are skipped before they take a slot, and the send starts at the next scheduled occurrence, never the moment you save.
How are opt-outs handled?
Replies of STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE and similar are recorded in a workspace-wide opt-out registry and honoured on every later campaign; START re-subscribes. You can also add opt-outs by hand, and carrier blocks are recorded too. The first message to a contact carries an opt-out footer automatically.
Will it text people at 3 am?
No. Campaign sends only go out inside the sending window you set for the campaign, between 8 am and 9 pm in the campaign's timezone. Messages that fall outside it wait for the window to open.
How fast does it send?
At the messages-per-second rate your Twilio sender supports, one message per second by default and up to 100 per second for a Messaging Service. A frequency cap also stops any one number receiving more than ten campaign texts in seven days.
Can I see who received the message?
Yes. Every recipient has a delivery record with Twilio's status — sent, delivered, failed, or skipped with the reason — and each campaign has a report with daily rollups.
Can customers reply?
Yes. Replies land in the team inbox as conversations, so an SMS campaign can turn into a two-way chat with the same contact record your email and live chat use.
