Can clients see tasks via the portal?
Yes, if the project's clientShowTasks toggle is on. Internal comments stay hidden from the client portal — only the task title + status + description + assignee name surface. Per-project visibility control.
How does department routing work?
Each task can be tagged with a departmentId (workspace-defined per Phase 30). The buildTaskVisibilityFilter master gate ensures only the right department sees the right tasks. Managers see across departments; employees see only their own.
Do recurring tasks count against task limits?
Each spawned instance counts as one task. So a daily recurring task creates 30 tasks/month. No hidden cost — just keep this in mind for limit planning.
Can I move a task between projects?
Not in v1. Move via the task ‘Open in project’ menu requires manual recreation in the destination. Cross-project task migration is on the roadmap.
What's the difference between tasks and reminders?
Tasks are work units inside a project with assignee + status + workflow. Reminders are lighter — personal nudges + client-initiated requests. See /features/reminders for the comparison.
